"The very steps we take come from God; otherwise how would we know where we're going?"
-Proverbs 20: 24
God wants us to know that we don't have to take this journey in life alone. He wants to be involved in every intricate detail of our lives, from our daily mundane decisions to life-changing ones. He shows us from the above scripture just how dependant upon Him we should be. There is no part of our lives that should be a part of our Father.
This scripture suggests that without a doubt we seek the Father in everything that we do and in all decisions that we make. It is understood that doing this gives us the vision for the next move in our lives. This scripture is also suggesting to you, beloved, that you really don't have to worry because God already has your path laid out for you. "For I know what I am doing. I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for."-Jeremiah 29:11
Phew! Doesn't it take the pressure off to know that God has already made plans to take care of you? He knows what He is doing. He knows what you need, what steps you should take, and what moves you should make. He will not leave you alone comfortless and force you to face life's situations on your own. Perhaps there are those who are starting a new career, or just advancing in their career. Maybe there are those who have been grappling with a very important decision in their life. There could be someone whose life has changed due to unforeseen circumstances and who is faced with having to pick up the pieces. Whatever the circumstance is, God already has a plan for our lives. All we have to do is rely on Him. Trust that what we are facing, He's already acquainted with the situation.
Beloved, just trust the Father. He will give you counsel for every circumstance, every situation, and every relationship. "Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He's the one who will keep you on track." -Proverbs 3:6 Isn't it comforting to know that our God takes careful concern for every part of our lives? How blessed are we to have a Father who loves us so deeply and completely that He plans our success!
Father, in the name of Jesus we thank You for showing Your love for us through Your scripture. Thank You for being the God that desires to be with us. You want to direct our paths, comfort us when we're hurting, counsel us when we have to make choices, heal us when we're sick, and love us simply because we are Your children. We take this moment to invite You into our lives. We submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and we ask that you mold us into who You have called us to be and form our purpose for Your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.
